Pet-friendly apartment in Rome: dogs and cats welcome

We love four-legged guests! Our penthouse in Rome’s Jewish Ghetto has a sunny balcony, quiet rooms and green spaces a short walk away. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome. Please read the following before booking:

What we provide

Yes, we provide bowls and a pet bed, so you can travel light. Bring your pet’s own food and a lead.

Before you arrive

  • Up to 2 pets per stay.
  • Keep pets off the bed and sofa bed.
  • Please don’t leave pets alone in the apartment for long periods, especially if they bark or are anxious. The building is quiet and our neighbours are sensitive to noise. Keep dogs on a lead and calm in the stairwell and common areas.
  • The apartment is on the top floor, up five flights of stairs with no lift. Small and medium dogs and cats manage easily. If your pet is large, elderly or has trouble with stairs, please tell us before booking.

Fee, damage and cleaning

  • €15 per stay, whether you bring one pet or two. It covers the extra cleaning.
  • Please report any accidents so we can treat them quickly.

Assistance animals are always welcome free of charge and are not counted as pets.

Walks nearby

Everything below is on foot from our front door. Times are approximate.

  • The Tiber and Tiber Island (about 5 minutes). Walk down to the river and Tiber Island, a short, flat stroll for a morning or evening lead walk.
  • Circo Massimo (about 15 minutes). A wide open grassy space for a longer walk, with views up to the Palatine Hill.
  • Giardino degli Aranci, on the Aventine (about 20 minutes). An uphill walk to a garden of orange trees with a lovely view over the city.

Rules for dogs can vary by park and season, so please check the signs on arrival. We’re happy to suggest more.

We’re happy to recommend nearby parks and pet-friendly cafés in the Ghetto. Just ask!
